Ever since the switch from Dropcam to Nest app, the app has degraded and Im no longer receiving push messages. Everything is configured correctly to get them, but no dice. Overall the quality of the video has also gone down over time.

Camera still picks up any small movement from slight breeze, even though the system was upgraded to prevent this. I get false alerts all day. Also have it mounted near ceiling and the IR bounces back into the lens and makes night shot unusable.
Very disappointed with update and not everyone has 20 year old eye sight and want to watch video on tiny screen, please go back to large screen view bad choice who approved that? I turned off update on phone hope I caught it in time errr

It works well, being able to talk through the camera is amazing, the thermostat saved me a ton in the first few months. Just need to buy a Protect and complete the collection.
I cant understand how an app can go from good to just ok. Here is one of my big complaints. I have multiple cameras but I can not monitor them at the same time unless I want try and make out what is in the tiny circles. Please add the multiple cameras view back the way it used to be in the old app.
Have found one problem since day one. Setting the auto programming for the fan only works from a desktop. Through my iPhone it turns the fan on and have to turn auto fan off in order to shut it off.
Not quite sure what these people are thinking. This app was just ok before now its almost unusable for video viewing. I use my nest cam and dropcam for outdoor security cameras with dropcases. Latest update makes you preview history in a little window first then move it over to the bigger window if you select the continue button. Lame! What this means is they have sever issues and this was their way of patching it. Your subscription service costs a boatload, fix your servers arent you guys part of Google now? Can you make it so I can move my cameras into my dropcam app and use that one again as that app actually works good.

Please bring back dropcam features. I want to share out the ability to view my cameras from time to time and in dropcam no problem but in the new backwards nestcam no can do. All I ever hear from tech support is maybe theyll add the feature back that been goin on for months and months. Looking for better cheaper alternatives wish Google or al Phabletcha had never purchased dropcam. Hate what I used to love.
Seriously, if youre going to charge for an online service then the App that goes with it needs to work seamlessly. At a minimum you should give customers a free month of service until your App works flawlessly. Imagine a class action lawsuit would be undesirable...
This app requires location services, but does not utilize them effectively. My nest products she activate/deactivate depending on my location. It should be as simple as checking for the same network connectivity instead of shoddy location services.
Perfect for our vacation home in Florida our electric bill is $.41 a day when we are not there and less than 4 dollars when we are.
I added the Nest Cam to our baby registry and received it. I was so excited until the app took forever to start. Also, it kept on trying to connect and finally connected after major delay. This is a horrible camera for a baby monitor since it has up to a 30 second delay. Its a problem if I can hear my baby crating before I even get notified by the App then wait for it to connect. Nest should be SUED if camera doesnt work or have delays. Why is something happened to my baby but I wouldnt be able to find out until way later. Really wanted this product to work but its garbage. The only way I would try it again is if they send me a new camera and do. Their software. What are you all doing in mountain view, getting paid for a sub par parodist? You all should be fired.
We want SPLIT SCREEN!!!! Who needs little thumb nail pics on the home screen. These cameras are all about video surveillance, but you can only view one camera at a time. Bring back the dropcam app with split screen now!!! Update: Still No Split Screen!!!
While the app has always been decent, some iPad picture in picture would be amazing for those who use nest cam as a baby monitor.
The whole point of this camera is so you can monitor your home while your away. The app is marginal if you want the past 24 hours but try going back 2 or more days and it just freezes up and wont play any footage. On top of it they want $15 a month for this shoddy service for my 2 cameras. Blame it all you want on my equipment but everything else works. Its been week 2 with these cameras and i think i want my $450 back to go spend on a different system. The app should work better if they expect to get $15 a month out of me
Easy to set up. Works well. Gives a sense of security. We have five Nest cameras and plan to get more. Highly recommended.
